Volunteer
There are many opportunities to get involved and serve at FBCR. We encourage you to go through the PLACE class to help you find just the right place for you to minister.
We ask that each of our members and regular attenders to be involved in one of the following ministries:
Extended Session
Extended Session is childcare for the Preschool Department (children range from 0 through 4 years) during the morning worship hour. Volunteers are asked to commit to serving once a month. Fingerprinting and background checks are recquired. If you are interested in serving in Extended Session, please email Allie Hosea at allie@fbcriverview.org. This ministry wil be a blessing to you as well as the children and their parents.
Children's Church
Children's Church (children range from 5 years to 3rd Grade) takes place during the morning worship hour. Volunteers are asked to prepare a short Bible study with the materials provided. Other activities include puppets, drama, and singing. Fingerprinting and background checks are recquired. If you are interested in serving in Children's Church, please email Andrea Hosea at andrea@fbcriverview.org. The children love this special worship service desgined just for them and it is sure to be a blessing to you as well.
Security
Security is an important aspect to FBCR. It is our desire that everyone feel safe and at ease while they are worshiping. Security personel are asked to serve on a montly basis at the Welcome Center. Not only do they observe the church campus during the worship hours, they also help visitors and newcomers navigate through the campus. This ministry is a great blessing to the church body. Other Volunteer Areas
FBCR is always looking for people that desire to work in other ministries of the church from Awana and Vacation Bible School to the Wednesday Night Food Teams. If you would like to be more involved please email Randall Hosea at rhosea@fbcriverview.org.
Greeters Ministry
The Lord uses us as His instruments in everything He does. So, this makes our purpose for existing on this earth to "Serve Him". To serve the Lord is easy! We are to love others. One way of showing love to others is to be kind to them, to help them, to "give them a smile and a kind word". Being a part of the "Greeter Ministry" is a wonderful way to accomplish this deed! Greeters stand at their assigned position and greet members and guests with a Smile and a warm Welcome as they come to church. Ushers Ministry
Each usher is assigned an aisle and is responsible for opening and closing doors at the beginning and end of each service, picking up trash after each service, taking up the offering, greeting people at the beginning and end of each service (we are asking you to be overly friendly), making sure there are pencils, visitor cards, and envelops in the slots behind the pews, and assisting people find a seat (Be on the look out for visitors that appear to not be sure where they are to go and ask them if you can be of assistance, especially mothers with small children.

Wednesday Night Meal Ministry
Choir
The First Baptist Church Celebration Choir leads worship regularly on Sundays and sings in special concerts, worship services, and other events. If you have a heart for worship, then the Celebration Choir is for you. It is a great starting point to get plugged into the Worship Arts Team. Connect with others who also share your passion for music and heart for worship leading. Celebration Rehearsal takes place on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 P.M. in the Main Sanctuary.Childcare is always available. Through the Celebration Choir, opportunities for service include soloists, praise team singers, and worship leaders. Instruments
Our band plays in all of our worship services. Our instruments consist of piano, keyboard, acoustic guitar, bass, percussionist, and drums. We are always looking for talented musicians to serve. If you are interested contact Pastor Mel at melp@fbcriverview.org
