Preschool Department Health Policies

There is no place like home, especially when you don’t feel well.
Please remain at home (children and workers) if you have had and of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours:

a. Fever of 100 degrees or more
b. Any undiagnosed rash or diagnosed contagious rash
c. Diarrhea (2 or more loose stools within an hour)
d. Vomiting
e. Excessive running of eyes or nose
f. Thick or colored nose drainage (clear thin drainage may occur with teething so this is not necessarily a problem)
g. Persistent coughing
h. Infections of the throat, or lungs including sore throat, bronchitis
i. Scarlet Fever
j. Pink Eye or any eye infection
k. Head lice
l. Has been on Antibiotic less than 24 hours at time of sign in

NO prescribed medications or over the counter drugs may be administered by workers. We may administer:
a. Soap
b. Water
c. Ice
d. Band-Aids

Parent will be paged to take children home when they exhibit any of the above symptoms.
