WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES CANCELED with the approach of Hurricane Idalia.
The Acts of the Apostles, also known as The Book of Acts, records the miraculous beginnings of the Lord’s Church. Jesus declared in Matthew 16:18, “Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” That rock is the testimony that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Since that time, the good news about the person and work of Jesus Christ has been the singular message and mission of the local church. With the coming of the Holy Spirit in Acts Ch. 2, those early apostles and fellow Christ-followers began to bear witness about Jesus, beginning in Jerusalem and expanding throughout the known world. Like those early saints, our mission is to take the good news about Christ to our neighborhoods and communities, to our region and nation, and around the world.

Over the coming weeks, we will reflect upon the expanding mission of the church and challenge ourselves to embrace that mission in our local context. We will be compelled by the authentic biblical community enjoyed by the early church, inspired by the power of God at work in the hearts of those early believers, and moved by those who suffered much for the Name of Christ.
Join us on this exciting journey as we learn anew how to embrace our mission as the Lord’s church here in central Florida and to the ends of the earth!

Watch Acts: To the Ends of the Earth starting Sunday, May 24th.
